The Tarahumara Boas are the smallest of the boa constrictors. The female who gave birth is 9 years old and about 3.5 ft in length.

It's only the 4th captive born litter in Europe. Furthermore, the females give birth only to a small number of babies.

Purebred Tarahumara Boas can be distinguished from fakes (who are unfortunately offered in these parts now and then) by the distinctive head marking who resembles those of boa c. longicauda and the small size. 

To the best of our knowledge we are the only breeders of Tarahumara mountain boas  in Europe up to now.
