The imperators from Ecuador do not belong to
the large boas.
 

We assume that females reach at the most 6 ft in length. According to our information, there is only
one breeder of this rare local form
in Germany so far.

 

The Boa c. imperator from Ecuador has a very interesting saddle pattern that is slightly different from those of the imperators from other distribution areas.

 

Our animals have a very calm temper. However, we do not know if this is valid for all Ecuador imperators. 

 

 

The coloration of these animals is also very interesting.
Some of them show an olive primary color and 
(similar to the "firebellies") a shining red belly
